Outdoor Practice

Alfresco is an ongoing project that offers unique outdoor experiences through the cultivation of awareness, movement, breath, play and creativity.

We meet in nature to build a sanctuary of space and time, and to connect with ourselves and each other as part of the natural world, in movement and stillness, in sound and in silence.

The intention of this project is to be in a deeper relationship with our environment, with the land, with body and spirit, with ourselves, and with others. To be and to become. It is about loving the earth and creation by fully inhabiting our bodies. We cultivate our sense of being alive by increasing sensation, emotion, aliveness, freedom and choice. We walk, breathe together, play, move alone, with a partner and with the group.  The practice is both calming and invigorating.

Alfresco intends to contribute to a process of collectively sensing and building our place, of inhabiting our public spaces, and of creating culture.

These practices are based in Humboldt County. If you would like to bring them to a place near you, reach out!
