My work folds human experiences of the body and spirit into movement and word, designed to be seen and felt, evoking a kinesthetic response. I aim to create a space where integrated thought leads to a physical experience. By acting as a mirror for the audience, I turn the private act of contemplation into a visible and audible collective experience—one that moves us toward artistic and social action.
As a migrant originally from Spain, my life is defined by the tension of both seeking and escaping belonging. This constant state of transition has led me to find my true home in family, friendship and the natural world. My practice is a dedicated effort to rewild the body and spirit, challenging the systemic inequalities of empires that trade the suffering of many for the luxury of a few.
In my latest projects, I build imaginative worlds combining movement, word, light, color, projections, music, and soundscapes. These environments are designed for the audience to inhabit alongside me, whether I perform outdoors or in a theater.
After a rewarding lifetime rooted in higher education, performance, and community arts and advocacy, I now finally operate as a freelance artist and organizer in Arcata, California, driven by the goal of engaging creatively with the world and affecting both inner and social change so that we may all live healthy, joyful, and free lives.
